Ocular Therapeutix is excited to be a new member of IAPB as our mission is aimed at redefining the retina experience.

At Ocular, we are working to redefine development by bringing unmatched retinal expertise to clinical trials, redefining treatment by helping to reduce the therapeutic burden so more patients can stay on treatment, and redefining outcomes in the hope of preserving vision for the long term.

Our Commitment: World Sight Week

Our commitment to redefining the retina experience reaches beyond the treatments we are developing. In recognition of World Sight Day, we extend the day into a full week of reflection and connection: World Sight Week. This gives us an opportunity to reconnect with why our work matters: the people affected by retinal disease and the everyday experiences that make preserving vision so meaningful.

This year, Ocular employees will hear directly from colleagues involved in understanding and exploring the experiences of people living with wet AMD, including what it takes for patients to stay on treatment, the challenges they face along the way, and the difference having support can make. We’ll bring eye health even closer to home, helping employees better understand their own eye health benefits and exploring practical recommendations inspired by IAPB’s Love Your Eyes at Work initiative.

Fostering Engagement

Throughout the week, employees will have multiple ways to turn awareness into participation. Our “World Sight Week Passport” will encourage team members to earn stamps by completing activities around disease state awareness, organizations, and resources that support patients. Through our “Love to See It” photo campaign, employees will share photos of something they love seeing, capturing the people, pets, places and everyday moments that are important to them. We’re also inviting family members to join us through our “Amazing Things to See!” kids’ coloring activity and an initiative collecting glasses to donate to the local Lions Club.

Recognizing World Sight Day

At Ocular, World Sight Week is a reminder that loving your eyes starts with recognizing the importance of eye health, understanding the experiences of others, and carrying those perspectives into the work we do every day.

World Sight Day gives all of us a reason to come together around the role eye health plays in people’s lives. We’re proud to join IAPB and the global eye health community in amplifying the importance of eye health, not only on World Sight Day, but with every day that follows.
