EHH 2017Dr. Aung Kyaw Win has been a leading figure in Myanmar’s eye health community since obtaining his Masters of Ophthalmology in 1992. In 1994, he played a key role in establishing the first Eye Bank in Myanmar, supporting more than 1,600 cornea transplants over 11 years leading the eye bank. During this period, Dr. Aung Kyaw Win also supported international organizations including Orbis, Helen Keller International (HKI) and Royal Adelaide Hospital in implementing programmes through collaboration with Myanmar’s Prevention of Blindness Programme.
