Global Action Plan session

This session covered the key elements of the new Global Action Plan (GAP) approved by the World Health Assembly in May 2013, what is new and different, the role played by advocacy, and what the GAP aims to achieve. The GAP will only be as good as its implementation at regional and national levels. The session focused on what is required for successful implementation, what work is already underway and what is planned, the challenges faced, and what all partners (member states, WHO and international partners) can contribute to ensure success.
Thanks to Johannes Trimmel, Ivo Kocur, Lesley Podesta, Van Lansingh and Zoe Gray for delivering the session and providing the presentations below.
