CoM 2018: Visa Information

All foreign nationals entering India are required to possess a valid international travel document in the form of a national passport with a valid visa.

All Individual visa seekers are requested to apply for the Indian Visa through Online application link, in order to make an application for getting the Indian visa.

Please go to the official Indian Visa Online Portal  to obtain the most accurate information for the visa requirements. Please note that for most Nationalities it is possible to apply for e-Visa.

Please note that IAPB CoM is a private IAPB meeting and as such it is not registered with the Indian Government and respectively we do not refer to it as Conference. Thus delegates are not able to apply for a Conference Visa.

Pakistani delegates

All delegates from Pakistan (or any other countries with complex visa relationships with India) are strongly advised to plan for their travel and allow sufficient time to obtain the necessary visa.  IAPB is happy to help with an invitation letter, or any such documentation, do write to

International Traveler Eligibility

  • International Travelers whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sight seeing, casual visit to meet friends or relatives, short duration medical treatment or casual business visit.
  • Passport should have at least six months validity from the date of arrival in India. The passport should have at least two blank pages for stamping by the Immigration Officer.
  • International Travellers should have return ticket or onward journey ticket,with sufficient money to spend during his/her stay in India.
  • International Travellers having Pakistani Passport or Pakistani origin may please apply for regular Visa at Indian Mission.
  • Not available to Diplomatic/Official Passport Holders or Laissez-passer travel document holders.
  • Not available to individuals endorsed on Parent’s/Spouse’s Passport i.e. each individual should have a separate passport.
  • Not available to International Travel Document Holders.

When completing your e-visa online

Please click the orange button E-Visa application in the top left corner. Once you have started filling out the E-Visa form you will be provided with a Temporary ID – please make sure you save it in case you are unable to complete the form in one session. Please note that it takes about 20 minutes completing the form and you will need all your passport information, copy of your passport in PDF and a passport size photo in order to be able to submit your application.

You will also be asked if you have visited India previously and if the answer is yes you will be asked to provide more detailed information on this – visa numbers, date of entry, etc. so please have this information available.

Once you have filled out the form you will be transferred to the payment page. Fees will vary based on your nationality. Once the payment has been taken you will receive your Visa application number and confirmation that within 72 hours you will receive an update on your status. Your Visa Status update will come to the registered email within 72 hours.
