Around November each year, IAPB surveys its members using a specially adapted version of the Global Health 50/50 survey. If you are an organisation that is new to integrating gender equity internally (either programmatically or organisationally or both) as a starting point, you might like to do this survey for your organisation yourself. It will identify strengths and gaps and will let you know where a good place to start could be.
The gender inclusion score card is a key component of the (Disability) Inclusion Score Card from Light for the World. This is a monitoring tool focusing on inclusion of persons with disabilities and gender inclusion at an organisational level. The Inclusion Score Card helps organisations identify actions needed to become more gender inclusive, providing an in-depth look at your organisation.
Gender Equity Positioning Statements
At The Fred Hollows Foundation, Gender Equity is included within our wider approach to Equity and Inclusion organisationally.
Gender, Inclusion, Power and Politics (GIPP) Analysis Toolkit
SDDirect, Christian Aid and the Evidence and Collaboration for Inclusive Development (ECID) programme launched their Gender, Inclusion, Power and Politics (GIPP) Analysis Toolkit which aims to embed gender equality, inclusion and power analysis into the locally-driven political economy analysis.
As a programming tool, it can help the development of a detailed picture of the root causes of problems, the roles of different stakeholders, and the processes to achieve positive change.
With thanks to The Bill and Melinda Gates Gender Equality Toolbox, the Gender Equality Lexicon includes a concise set of clearly defined gender concepts. Such definitions support sector specialists who are integrating gender in their work and gender specialists who are supporting capacity building and managing investments for gender equality.
