The webinar will showcase presentations on current initiatives to advance integrated care for diabetic retinopathy (DR) across the spectrum of health promotion, prevention, early intervention, and treatment in a range of different contexts and resource settings.
Aim: The webinar aims to provide insights on different models, lessons learned and key recommendations on how to effectively implement integrated care including the DR Barometer community of practice.
Format: Presentations followed by a moderated Q&A session with participants.

Dr. Francisco Martinez Castro
Dr Francisco Martinez Castro is the regional chair for IAPB Latin America. He has been active with the Mexican Society of Ophthalmology (SMO) from 1972 to date. He has been the Executive Director of the Pan American Association of Ophthalmology between 1995-2001.
Ms. Alejandra Castillo
Alejandra teaches at the Universidad de la salle, Colombia. She is an optometrist with a Masters in health administration. She has over 11 years’ experience in developing and implementing public policy in eye health. Alejandra is also a consultant with the united Nations on disability issues.
Dr. Francisco J. Rodriguez
Francisco J. Rodríguez, MD is the chair of the Fundación Oftalmológica Nacional and Professor of Ophthalmology and chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Universidad del Rosario School of Medicine in Bogotá, Colombia. Dr. Rodríguez has participated as principal investigator in several clinical trials for AMD, diabetic macular edema and retinal vein occlusion. He is member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Macula Society, Club Jules Gonin, ASRS, Euretina and Panamerican Association of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Lucia Silva
Lucia Silva, MD is an ophthalmologist with a specialisation in glaucoma and currently at the end of a Masters Degree in Digital Health Management. She is also completing a Harvard’s Surgical Leadership Program. Lucia is the Medical Director of Visualiza Eye Clinic in Guatemala City, and member of the SEVA’s International Board of Medical Directors.
