If you represent an organisation involved in blindness prevention
An IAPB Membership brings together organisations to build a powerful voice for eye health, develop best practices through sharing and learning, open up new partnership opportunities and enhance our collective reach and impact.
We believe that together we have far greater chances of influencing change than any one organisation alone.
Group A members are entitled to nominate a representative on the IAPB Board of Trustees, enabling them to make direct input to critical discussions and decisions affecting the VISION 2020 Global Initiative, during its meetings twice yearly.
Groups B and C have indirect representation on the Board, and are invited to attend formal Council of Members meetings at which information sharing, exchanges of ideas and especially collaborative discussions are encouraged.
IAPB has formally constituted Board Committees, Programme Committees and Discussion Groups that address each of the key programme areas of the VISION 2020 agenda. These committees are made up of member representatives with expertise in these key areas, and assemble at the time of Board and Council meetings, and/or collaborate by teleconference or online.
