8:30-9:00: Registration  

Session 1: 9:00- 10:00: Global Action Plan implementation b: How and why develop a nation blindness prevention plan?

  • WHO pillars of the GAP that would be addressed: Comprehensive eye care, ensuring access, Multisectorial partnerships

Session 2: 10:00 – 11:00: What is a RAAB and how can the information generated be used?

  • WHO pillars of the GAP that would be addressed: Generating Evidence and Multisectoral partnerships

Session 3: 11:40 – 13:30: What we have done and what needs to be done?

  • WHO pillars of the GAP that would be addressed: Generating Evidence, Training more eye care professionals, Comprehensive eye care, Ensuring access and Multisectoral partnerships.

Session 4: 13:30-14:00: (Education) New role for ophthalmology residents and the future of training to address current and future needs.

Lunch: 14:30-15:30  

Session 5: 15:30- 16:30: International partners in the eye health (NGO session)
