A new, quick-to-browse newsletter from L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) showcases three stories–case-reports, reviews, surveys or papers—every month. It is free-to-subscribe, and lands in your inbox on the last Friday of every month.

L V Prasad Eye Institute is a global centre for ophthalmic research and practice. Our ophthalmologists, optometrists, public health experts and research scientists fuse basic and applied research that translates into better outcomes for patients, the community, and the world.

Every month, our teams publish reports, studies, reviews, or provide commentary on key issues in vision care that is of interest to the eye health sector, and to the scientific community. This is a brand new mailer that highlights three or four such papers and brings them to your inbox on the last Friday of every month.

Stories covered include clinical reviews and case reports on how Biofilm impacts endophthalmitis management, a review of the fungal mycobiome of the human eye,  a review and case-series of Drug-induced Cicatrizing Conjunctivitis and a comment on the corneas from elderly patients.

The newsletter has also featured results from a disability-inclusive eye health survey, adding to the sparse data around disability in the sector. We have also showcased our findings from a paper on tele-rehabilitation, where less than 10% of people who need rehabilitation care currently receive those services—and access to care is one of the biggest hurdles.
