The International Federation on Ageing are seeking content on diabetes-related vision complications with particular attention to the COVID pandemic.

Central to the DR Barometer Program is the community of practice (CoP) comprising highly motivated professionals working collaboratively to create and/or share knowledge, and drive evidence to actions that address gaps in policy and practice.  A primary role of the CoP is to build knowledge assets which respond to key questions in the community.  These assets are also informed through existing evidence and practices.

This e-newsletter will reflect on the importance of best practices during the COVID-19 pandemic and the changing nature of patient engagement.  They also welcome submissions on the three focus areas of the CoP – patient education and empowerment, guidelines and protocols, and coordinated care.

Knowledge assets and good practices shared by the community can be further leveraged and localized to help build the capacity of stakeholders at country who are working to inform policy and practice in vision health as it relates to diabetes.

Inputs to be sent via e-mail. Deadline: 11 December 2020

E-mail address: [email protected]

E-mail subject line: Input for IFA Newsletter 2020
