A Scoping Study: Eye health workforce in Africa

The Fred Hollows Foundation are seeking expressions of interest from individuals or consulting companies interested in undertaking a scoping study involving exploration of the capacities, needs and strategies to strengthen human resources for eye health capacities service delivery in the countries of the African Great Lakes region of eastern Africa.

The scoping study will include needs assessments, evidence review and synthesis to guide the strategic direction of The Foundation’s work to sustainably strengthen eye health workforce in the countries where we work in Africa over the next 10 years. In particular, the study is intended to strengthen The Foundation’s understanding of the factors influencing health workforce development in these regions and the key challenges and opportunities and produce recommendations on priority actions and investment areas to enhance the sustainability and impact of The Foundation’s work on human resource development.
