Eversight announced it will provide eye banking services in Arizona in collaboration with Donor Network of Arizona (DNA) effective July 1. The partnership will allow DNA to concentrate on its core organ and tissue services, while Eversight makes the gift of sight possible.

“We are confident that this partnership with DNA will expand our shared mission impact in a meaningful way. The values that guide DNA are closely aligned with Eversight’s. We are all working to empower people and transform lives by realizing the full potential of the precious gifts entrusted to us.” –Diane Hollingsworth, President/CEO, Eversight.

Headquartered in Tempe, Ariz., DNA has historically operated a fully accredited eye bank. DNA selected Eversight as its eye banking partner in order to better serve all organ, eye and tissue donors, families and recipients. The partnership will allow DNA to concentrate on its core organ and tissue services, while Eversight makes the gift of sight possible.

“We believe that our new partnership with Eversight allows Donor Network of Arizona to focus on what we do best—donation—while collaborating with an organization whose mission closely aligns with ours to provide the gift of sight to those in need,” said Tim Brown, president and CEO of Donor Network of Arizona.

DNA will continue to recover eye tissues from Arizona donors and supply those tissues to Eversight for processing and distribution. Eversight will provide Arizona donor corneas to surgeons and their patients in need of sight-restoring transplantation, both in Arizona and elsewhere.

“Eversight values our important OPO relationships that enable us to maximize the gift of sight together,” Hollingsworth said. “We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with DNA to help make vision a reality for more people worldwide.”
