Call for Projects for “Caring for Sight” 2021-22

L’OCCITANE and its Foundation reached in 2020 their goal to provide eye care to 10 million beneficiaries in the world, thanks to the hard work of its amazing partners !  L’OCCITANE’s international programme “UNION FOR VISION 10by20” has become “CARING FOR SIGHT” and sets a new, ever more ambitious goal : 15 MILLION BENEFICIARIES OF EYE CARE BY 2025!

To reach this goal they have launched a NEW CALL FOR PROJECTS “CARING FOR SIGHT” 2021-2022.

It encourages L’OCCITANE’s offices worldwide to participate by identifying and supporting local organizations with eye care projects. These projects are co-financed by L’OCCITANE’s local offices and by the foundation.
The foundation will double1 the funding granted by L’OCCITANE’s local offices.

Rules and eligibility criteria

  • The project needs to be carried out by an organization of public interest ;
  • The project must focus on eye care (screenings sessions, provision of spectacles, treatments, surgeries, optometrists or ophthalmologists training, purchase of machinery and equipment, etc.) ;
  • The project needs to have measurable results. The number of beneficiaries receiving eye care thanks to the help of L’OCCITANE must be included in at least one of the lines of the table in 1.10 part of the application form ;
  • A strong focus will be done on the financial and environmental sustainability of the project ;
  • Location (in order to facilitate the relationship with the local L’OCCITANE office):
    • The project presented takes place in a country where there is a local L’OCCITANE’s office,
    • AND/OR
    • The charity organization managing the project and requesting the grant has a local office in a country where there is a local L’OCCITANE’s office.

  1. identify a project that meets all the required eligibility criteria
  2. contact the local L’OCCITANE office in order to present your project
  3. If the local L’OCCITANE office is interested, complete the application form and share it with them
  4. Follow up with the local L’OCCITANE office to make sure they submit the application form to the Foundation by the 28th of February
  5. Starting April 2021, the local L’OCCITANE office will keep you updated if your project is selected
