L’OCCITANE new Call for Projects: Caring for Sight 2022-23

L’OCCITANE and its Foundation reached their goal to provide eye care to 10 million beneficiaries in the world in 2020.  L’OCCITANE’s international programme “UNION FOR VISION 10by20” is now called “CARING FOR SIGHT” and has set a new, ever more ambitious goal: 15 MILLION BENEFICIARIES OF EYE CARE BY 2025!

They are calling for projects 2022-2023.

Rules and eligibility criteria

  • The local project needs to be carried out by organizations of public interest.
  • The local project must focus on eye care (screenings sessions, provision of spectacles, treatments, surgeries, optometrists or ophthalmologists training, purchase of machinery and equipment, etc.).
  • The local project needs to have measurable results. The number of beneficiaries receiving eye care thanks to the help of L’OCCITANE must be included in at least one of the lines of the table in 1.12 part of the following application form.
  • A project with both measurable short-term effects is strongly recommended.
  • A strong focus will be done on the sustainability of the projects, to become operationally and financially autonomous (including advocacy, awareness raising, local staff training; multiplicity of fundings) and on its capacity to respond to specific local issues.
  • The local organization should have office or representation in the country of implementation of the project.

The call for projects is based on local L’OCCITANE subsidiary’s commitment, and the projects being supported by the subsidiary itself, it is the decision maker and therefore remains the preferred direct contact. However if you are unable to contact the local L’OCCITANE office of your country, you can contact them at : [email protected].

Only projects submitted using the downloadable application form and strictly meeting the eligibility criteria will be taken into account and sent to the subsidiaries. Subsidiaries will not necessarily be able to return to all NGOs.

Calendar of application

  • Application deadline: February 7th, 2022
  • Announcement of the supported projects : End of March, 2022
  • Agreement signature : April, 2022
