Vision Aid Overseas is changing – changing lives of those in low to middle income countries to see clearly – and they have been changing those lives for over 30 years!

Now they are changing too! To help them keep transforming lives whilst supporting long term sustainable programmes, Vision Aid Overseas is evolving into Vision Action.

With action we can all help to create affordable eye care services; support people living with poor eyesight and reach those in the remotest of areas – making sure that no one is left behind.

They are here for a clearer future: Vision Action will keep supporting countries to build Vision centres, to train the next generations of teachers and eye care professionals, and to keep ensuring that schools and communities have access to the eye care they need – being able to see shouldn’t be a luxury – it’s an absolute must!

As part of their Strategy to 2030, to pursue greater impact and to help more people, they have three key goals to reach their mission, enabling people living in poverty to access affordable glasses and eye care:

  1. They will continue to support the development of Human Resources for Eye Health
  2. They will strengthen the essential eye health services at schools, communities, and Vision centres
  3. They will promote the engagement and mobilisation of communities – to reach everyone!

You can find out more about the amazing work they do here www.visionaction.org.uk

They will be hosting and attending events next year, so stay connected to their social media presence and website to know about future dates. Vision Action will be at 100% Optical in London next February 2023 – you will be able to find them on stand W191.
