NIHA 4th China Eye Health Conference (CEHC)

Following on from the Launch Event, the NIHA division of the Medical Standards Bureau held its annual conference last week. Again, Amanda Davis presented alongside Stuart Keel from WHO, Nathan Congdon from Orbis and Brandon Ah Tong from Fred Hollows Foundation Australia. Held virtually, the CEHC has become a regular fixture on the Western Pacific event schedule. This year’s presentations celebrated the work of the Vision 2020 years in China. These include the elimination of Trachoma as a public health problem and an increased focus on myopia. They are also an opportunity for global advocacy efforts in vision care to be brought to a domestic audience – Amanda Davis updated attendees on progress with the World Health Assembly resolution
