Horizon Therapeutics and IAPB Partner to advocate for better eye health

Horizon Therapeutics has joined IAPB as a Global Patron, as part of Horizon’s widening global presence. Working together, Horizon and IAPB will advocate to bring better eye health to all at global, country and regional levels.

Tim Walbert, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Horizon said “We are pleased to partner with IAPB and look forward to working with those across IAPB membership to advocate for vision as a global development and health priority.”

Peter Holland, Chief executive of IAPB said “We are delighted to welcome Horizon as Global Patrons. IAPB’s strength is bringing together the diversity of the eye health sector and catalysing positive change. Horizon’s expertise and knowledge in Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) and other rare disease areas, alongside their growing global presence and purposeful social responsibility programs, support our shared goals for vision and eye health by 2030.”

Horizon and IAPB will be working on the following priorities:

  • Advocating for vision as a global development priority, promoting the links between vision and the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Supporting IAPB global activities with the World Health Organization at the World Health Assembly and with the United Nations.
  • Promoting awareness and innovation in TED, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) and other rare disease areas to accelerate positive changes to bring better eye health and vision to more people around the world.
  • Engaging in regional and country level activities that raise the profile of eye health and vision with key decision maker.
