LVPEI launches Diploma in Community Eye Health

L V Prasad Eye Institute in collaboration with the University of Hyderabad (UoH) announces the first batch of the Diploma in Community Eye Health course. It is a one-year virtual/distance learning course covering the essential elements of community eye health and a mandatory project. Here are the details.

Term 1

CEH 101 – Introduction & Essentials of Community Eye Health
CEH 102 – Epidemiology of common eye conditions in adults & children
CEH 103 – Research methods in Community Eye Health
CEH 104 – Planning, monitoring, and management of eye care programs

Term 2
CEH 201 – Health Economics and Sustainability in eye health
CEH 202 – Resource mobilization, advocacy, and social marketing in eye health
CEH 203 – Universal Eye Health and Comprehensive eye care models
CEH 204 – Mandatory Project in Community Eye Health

Audience: Graduate in Medicine, Dentistry, AYUSH, Optometry, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Nutrition, Health Care, Hospital Administration & Management. Other graduates with health or hospital program working experience of a minimum of one full year are also eligible. Both Indian and International students with the above eligibility criteria can apply.

Mode of Delivery: Distance and virtual learning program with 5-10 days of contact classes in each term

Duration: One year (two terms)

Teaching Methodology: Self-learning material and online modules
Assessments: Internal assessments and term-end examinations
