IAPB
1/1

IAPB has had several changes to it’s staffing in the early part of the year. Please join us in welcoming our new members of staff who have joined in the past few months.

Anna McKeon – Director of Policy, Strategy, and Advocacy

Anna is delighted to be joining IAPB to provide maternity cover for Jessica Thompson as Director of Policy, Strategy, and Advocacy.

Anna joins IAPB with multi-disciplinary and multi-national experience. She was most recently Director of Delivery and Head of Engagement at a social impact consultancy in the UK, focused on working with policy makers to involve the public in their decision-making processes. Prior to that she lived in South East Asia for over 5 years working in international development. During this time she was an Executive Manager for a youth empowerment organisation, and then went on to coordinate a global advocacy campaign for Save the Children and Better Care Network to discourage orphanage volunteering. The working group Anna coordinated as part of that campaign achieved numerous policy goals, including commitments by government aid agencies to explicitly state that they will not fund orphanages and institutions.

Anna is also an experienced trainer and facilitator, with a particular interest in experiential education techniques and cross-cultural leadership development. She has delivered trainings and programmes on public engagement, facilitation, and leadership throughout the UK public sector, and also via immersive travel experiences in Cambodia.

Becki Perryman – Global Events Manager

Becki is coming to IAPB with 10 years’ experience in the UK education sector and UK Government funded educational projects, working with underrepresented young people and their key influencers. Becki has created and managed collaborative partnerships to work to inform and raise awareness of barriers faced by underrepresented communities and ensure their voices are heard by decision makers. With over 6 years’ experience of stakeholder relationship management, CPD delivery, project management and event management including curating and producing several TEDx events, Becki will be joining the IAPB team to manage and implement our global events programme.

“I am very excited to join the IAPB team and be a part of the fantastic work they are doing, it is a privilege to be part of this team”.

Damilola Bella – Corporate Partnerships Officer

Damilola has worked in the Civil Service: first at the Department for Work and Pensions, then the Department for International Trade as a Trade Support Officer in 2021. Here she supported UK businesses exporting into Europe, particularly with the UK’s Trade and Cooperation Agreement with the EU, post-Brexit. She also worked on the implementation of sanctions during the Ukraine/Russia crisis. Damilola holds an MSc Global Affairs degree from KCL.

Kristine Nyabera – Africa Programme Officer

Kristine Nyabera is a self-motivated and results oriented health systems strengthening and behaviour change communication expert with more than five years’ experience in project cycle management gained through work with both international and local non-governmental organizations.

Her professional experience has strengthened her abilities to mobilize, facilitate, forge and foster strategic partnerships with Government Officials, at both national and county levels, civil society organizations and community groups to leverage on program outcomes. She is a highly driven individual with motivation to find gaps in the health systems and innovate ways to serve the societal needs.
