The Singida region of Tanzania was not prioritised in the National Eye Care Strategic Plan (NECSP) 2011-2016, despite being one of the most underserved regions in the central zone. In response to this, Standard Chartered Bank has funded two projects in the region: the Maono Singida Sustainable Eye Care project launched in April 2016 to contribute to the sustainable provision of eye care services in the region, focusing on demand creation and improvements in current delivery mechanisms; and Maono School Eye Health project in January 2018, to address visual impairment of primary school children in the region. This report presents the findings from the end term evaluation undertaken between 1st March and 30th June 2020 by a team of consultants from Tropical Health.
