October 13th 2022 was the biggest World Sight Day ever!
On Thursday alone we saw almost 10,000 media pieces, with over 100 million media impressions. Social Media impressions topped 250 million. IAPB has led the World Sight Day around the world with the day trending all day globally on social media. We smashed our 5 million target and are at 6.8 million and counting!

We’ve had His Majesty King Charles, the Health Minister of New South Wales, the President of the UN General Assembly, the Director General of Health in Malaysia, the author Kim Kelly, the Health Minister of the Solomon Islands and countless influencers and celebrities getting onboard. Everyone from the World Economic Forum to NASA! Here in the Western Pacific social media has been alive with your events and pledges, rallies and calls for better political support.
Our World Sight Day Global Partners, members, and many more in the sector and beyond have been involved, wearing our heart glasses, passing the glasses and doing everything from blind-folded marches to cake sales.
