GBD regions and super regions

Super regions

The regions used in the Vision Atlas are based on the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) regional classification system.

GBD created super regions based on two criteria: epidemiological similarity and geographic closeness. For example, the High Income region covers a group of 34 countries in different parts of the world.
