The eye health sector enters an important phase. Five years into the 2030 In Sight Strategy and as we approach the first Global Summit for Eye Health later in 2026, the need to highlight tangible progress and showcase proven solutions has never been greater.
As we gear up for the 2030 IN SIGHT LIVE in Nairobi from 4 – 6 June 2026, we invite colleagues from across the sector to contribute to the Rapid-Fire and Poster sessions at the 2030 In Sight Action Café.
Why your contribution matters
Across countries and regions, programmes are finding new ways to improve access, strengthen systems and embed eye health within wider health and development priorities. Many of these examples remain local or are not widely shared, yet they represent practical progress the global community needs to understand.
By sharing your work, you help build a clearer picture of where change is occurring, what enables it and where barriers remain. These insights support better policy decisions, inform investment and strengthen the evidence base for advocacy and policy calls ahead of the Global Summit for Eye Health.
What we are seeking
Guided by the Value of Vision framework, we welcome short presentations and posters that illustrate practical action and learning across this year’s streams; Act, Allocate and Accelerate.
Act – Examples of how evidence and advocacy are shaping national commitments, integrating eye care into health strategies and improving equity and access. We also encourage approaches that use data and monitoring to strengthen accountability and track progress.
Allocate – Insights on financing models that support sustainability, capability and scale. This includes cross-sector partnerships that unite public, private, non-profit and technology actors, as well as initiatives that strengthen the eye health workforce through improved training, retention or distribution.
Accelerate – Interventions that have advanced effective coverage for presbyopia, refractive error or cataract services. We also welcome campaigns that have built public or political momentum, and examples of digital tools or technology improving access, efficiency or service uptake.
Across all themes, we are prioritising grounded insights that show progress and can inform others in the sector. Presenters do not need to submit academic research. Find out more here.
