Shantilal Shanghvi Eye Institute is a not-for-profit eye institute with a vision “To reduce the prevalence of avoidable vision loss by delivering high-quality eye care to all.” Its mission is “To be a center of excellence in patient care, ophthalmic education, translational research and public health.” We believe that every patient deserves access to world-class eye care.

We offer a wide range of services, from preventive care and diagnostics to advanced therapeutics and visual rehabilitation. Our objectives include prevention of avoidable blindness, promoting equity & inclusion in eye health care, partnerships and global collaboration, evidence-based practice & research and advocacy and policy influence. SSEI is a unit of Shantilal Shanghvi Foundation and is committed to compassionate, high-quality eye care while contributing to research and equitable eye health across communities.
