2026 APAO Cross-Regional Meeting | Hong Kong

Session Purpose:

This half-day session convenes members and key partners from the Southeast Asia and Western Pacific Regions to provide strategic updates from the IAPB, build practical skills in using the Investment Case for advocacy, and deepen engagement in the lead-up to the 2026 Global Summit for Eye Health. A central focus will be supporting participants to articulate practival and meaningful commitments for the Summit and to consider how these can be advanced at country and institutional levels.

Aims and Objectives:

By the end of the session, participants will:

• Gain clarity on current IAPB priorities and upcoming opportunities in 2026.
• Understand how to use the Investment Case and practice applying it to country specific advocacy scenarios.
• Be updated on the 2026 Global Summit for Eye Health, including expected
  outcomes and opportunities for engagement.
• Consider practical ways to advance and support commitments within their own countries, organisations, or networks.
