Advocacy to Action: Session 4: Strategies and Tactics

This webinar will explore some effective advocacy strategies to effect policy change. The session will include showcases on coalition building and engaging decision makers and presentations on innovative approaches for building campaigns and evidence for driving change. The session will draw on learnings from experts within and beyond the eye health sector and will discuss more on approaches that can help us integrate into the ‘Build Back Better/Equal/Faster’ developmental plan.

By the end of the session, the participant will be able to:

• Discuss effective strategies in policy advocacy
• Consider situational adaptations to achieve targeted outcomes in advocacy
• Identify the role of contextual evidence in supporting advocacy goals
• Consider the merits of adopting innovative approaches in campaigning and engagement plans
