Join us for a webinar with Tropical Data, WHO and partners as they share findings from a recent study in Ethiopia and Nigeria that tested the integration of uncorrected refractive error coverage (eREC) measurement into trachoma prevalence surveys. This innovative approach taps into existing NTD survey platforms to boost the quality, research and efficiency of eye health data collection, and service provision.

The session will highlight three key areas of the study:

  1. Methods and results: A comparison of different approaches to measuring eREC, and the findings from both countries.
  2. Time and cost implications: An analysis of how integrating eREC impacted survey logistics and resource use.
  3. Feasibility and acceptability: Insights from qualitative research, including interviews with policy makers, health workers, and community members.

This webinar is useful for programme managers, implementing partners, researchers, and policymakers interested in integrated health approaches, as it demonstrates how eREC data can be captured efficiently within existing NTD frameworks. More importantly, we want your ideas. Join the discussion on how this approach could drive greater efficiencies and share your thoughts on opportunities for routine implementation in the future.
