The Tasmanian Branch of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) is pleased to host the RANZCO Global Eye Health & International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness Conference, taking place from 6–8 March 2026 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.

The theme of the meeting is:
“Equity in Action: Affordability, Sustainability, and Equity in Eye Health”
with a focus on cataract, medical retinal disease, and glaucoma.

The program will include sessions on clinical updates, partnerships, advocacy, sustainability, and appropriate technology. In addition, there will be workshops covering country programs, political engagement, and a dry lab on intravitreal injections and cataract surgery.

We look forward to welcoming delegates from across Australia and New Zealand, the South and Western Pacific, and as far afield as Europe and the Americas.

This meeting presents a valuable opportunity to not only explore the future of ophthalmic science but also to shape the sector’s role on the global stage. Together, we aim to ensure equitable access to eye care through affordable, sustainable, and high-quality solutions that address long-standing causes of visual impairment and blindness

The meeting is open to all health professionals involved in Eyecare.

The involvement of industry partners, NGOs, leading international institutions, and global experts promises to make this a must-attend event.
