Advocacy to Action 2023 – The programme

Advocacy to Action 2023 is the third year of IAPB’s highly successful Advocacy to Action series. The aim of A2A is to develop advocacy capacity for eye health at a country and regional level.  

Advocacy to Action 2023 provides participants opportunities to interact with eye health leaders who have advocated with success at regional, and in-country levels. Advocacy to Action prompts eye health advocates to consider how to best leverage global and regional mechanisms, and use evidence effectively, to achieve change.

Advocacy to Action 2023 will support eye health advocates to:​

• Understand global policy developments and regional priorities for eye health.​
• Keep up to date with the latest news, resources, blogs and country data.​
• Join forums to share successes, lessons learnt and inspire collective action.​
• Access new and existing A2A tools and resources to advocate effectively for eye health and translate global commitments into regional and national commitments and actions.​
• Build capacity to hold governments to account and advocate for greater reporting on the 2030 targets and as part of Sustainable Development Goals Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs).​
