YWAM Medical Ships – Australia & PNG (YWAM MS)

YWAM Medical Ships – Australia & PNG (YWAM MS) operates in Papua New Guinea and employs a community development approach combining the use of the MV YWAM PNG and land-based teams to deliver medical and training services and to build capacity among local health workers. Through collaborations with these workers, YWAM MS has provided over two million medical and training services to remote communities in PNG.

As a mother ship, the MV YWAM PNG helps to strengthen existing service and build capacity while working collaboratively with local health workers in a culturally sensitive and respectful manner. YWAM MS aligns its work with the goals and objectives outlined in the PNG National Department of Health (NDoH) National Health Plan and as outlined in the PNG National Eye Health Strategic Plan 2025-2029.
