The College of Optometrists (the College) is the UK’s professional body and membership organisation for optometrists in the UK and worldwide. Underpinned by a Royal Charter, the College’s ambitious 5 year strategy is to eliminate preventable sight loss, by working in partnership with employers, education, members, local and national government and other optical organisations in the UK and around the world.

We encourage all optometrists, dispensing opticians, contact lens opticians and practice owners to attend The College of Optometrists’ Optometry Tomorrow 2026 conference, held in beautiful Harrogate on 14-15 June. The programme has been developed in partnership with the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO), Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) and the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) to bring together all optometry professionals, have a focus on multi-disciplinary pathways, and all-practice learning.

This year’s programme features a mix of clinical hands-on workshops, peer reviews, expert-led lectures and focused discussion sessions, and opportunities connect with peers across the weekend. You’ll also find a large exhibition of suppliers and the new Learning and Community Zone, which is a space designed for informal learning and expert guidance on topics ranging from higher qualifications to supervision, career development, wellbeing, and new technology.
