Join us at the 75th World Health Assembly for this breakfast event either in person or online via Hopin.

More than 2 billion people have a vision impairment and of these, at least 1.1 billion people are needlessly living with poor vision because they do not have access to basic services. Ensuring everyone has access to affordable, quality eye health services is a challenge which can be solved in the next decade with huge benefits for the global economy, gender equity, inclusion, education and the workplace.

This breakfast event will introduce the new WHO Guide for Eye Care Action, a manual and set of practical tools outlining strategies and approaches for the implementation of the WHO World Report on Vision and the newly adopted global eye care targets on the effective coverage of refractive error and cataract surgery.

The event will take place during the 75th World Health Assembly and will feature keynote addresses from government officials; a technical briefing from the WHO, and a panel discussion showcasing country progress.
