Honored to Join the WHO CSO Commission Steering Committee
1/1

I am truly honored and proud to share that I have been selected to the WHO Civil Society Commission Steering Committee.

The WHO Civil Society Commission is a platform set up by the World Health Organization to strengthen and formalize collaboration with civil society organizations (CSOs). The Steering Committee provides guidance and leadership for the Commission.

As a member of the steering committee, I will be involved in providing strategic guidance to strengthen WHO-CSO engagement; shaping CSOC priorities, work plan and strategies; overseeing and supporting the establishment and approval of working groups and advising WHO on CSO Commission member applications. The role will be instrumental in strengthening the engagement between WHO and civil society at global, regional, and national levels.

With over 500 CSOs as members, the commission has already made significant strides- supporting civil society engagement in World Health Assembly resolutions, contributing to dialogues on climate and health, and creating spaces for youth, regional engagement, and sustainable financing. Joining at this moment means stepping into a platform that is already making impact, with much more to be done.

Having worked extensively in global advocacy, health policy and financing, I see this as an opportunity to bring those experiences to a global stage, to amplify voices that are often unheard, and to keep pushing for stronger, fairer health systems worldwide. I feel grateful for this responsibility and excited to learn from my fellow Steering Committee members while contributing meaningfully to shaping a healthier, more equitable future.
