Spark Vision IS

SparkVision is a Bulgarian EU-registered medical device company developing AI-powered assistive technology for people who are blind or visually impaired. Our mission is to make work, education, and everyday life genuinely accessible for people with irreparable vision loss through affordable, intelligent tools.

Our product portfolio includes AI-powered smart glasses and accessible workstations, both registered as medical devices in Bulgaria and developed in close collaboration with the Union of the Blind in Bulgaria. The devices use computer vision, OCR, and conversational AI to read text aloud, describe surroundings, recognise people and objects, navigate documents, and assist with daily tasks — replacing a fragmented stack of single-purpose aids with one integrated assistive platform.

SparkVision currently serves more than 80% of the visually impaired user base in Bulgaria and is an approved supplier under the Bulgarian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy’s assistive technology subsidy programmes. We work primarily through B2G channels, partnering with national disability agencies, ministries, and blind-persons’ organisations across the EU to ensure end users receive devices at no personal cost via state reimbursement.

Our objectives are threefold: (1) expand access to AI-based assistive technology across the EU and beyond through public procurement and reimbursement pathways; (2) stay at the forefront of available technology and provide the best available software solutions to our users; and (3) build the evidence base — clinical, social, and economic — that supports inclusion of advanced assistive technology in national health and disability frameworks.
