The Department of Ophthalmology & Optometry, Timergara Teaching Hospital Timergara Pakistan, in collaboration with Hudson Pharma, proudly celebrated World Sight Day 2025 under the global theme “Love Your Eyes – Protect Your Vision.”
A seminar was held in the hospital’s main conference hall, attended by hospital administration, district specialists of others specialties, Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, Trainee Medical Officers (TMOs), House Officers (Hos), and other staff members. The event highlighted the importance of vision care and the need for preventive eye health practices.
In his presentation, Dr. Nawab Ali, Incharge of the Ophthalmology Department, discussed the prevalence of common eye conditions and diseases in the region. Dr. Asad Ullah, Consultant Optometrist, emphasized the vital role of optometrists in blindness prevention and in strengthening primary eye care services.
The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the collective commitment to promoting eye health and protecting vision for all.
