World Council of Optometry invites nominations for three awards

The World Council of Optometry is currently calling for nominations for the following awards: Distinguished Service Award, International Optometrist Award and The Paul Berman Young Leader Award.

The nominations for all three close on June 30.

The Distinguished Service Award is given to an optometrist who has made an outstanding contribution over time to the achievement of WCO’s Vision and Mission. This is the highest award that WCO can bestow on an individual.

WCO LogoThe International Optometrist Award (previously International Optometrist of the Year award) is given to an optometrist who has shown outstanding commitment to the profession and the community.

The Paul Berman Young Leader Award is given to an optometrist who has made an outstanding contribution over time to the achievement of WCO’s Vision and Mission and shows promising future leadership in world optometry.

The awards will be presented at the General Delegates’ Meeting in September 2017 in Hyderabad, India.
