“As a student Volunteer, and Optometrist, I joined a Team of experts for a rural eye outreach, and found, some people , who were living with some blinding conditions. After the Professional care, it was found out that, they need just a pair of glass, which cost less than 3$ to see. This impacted my life greatly, coupled, with seeing people reporting late to hospital for clinical care, I saw, we needed to reach out to the Communities and send the Professional eye health care to the door step of the people, especially the deprived Communities amd rural dwellers. From that time, I saw, my path was to work towards creating solutions for reaching the trend of people having to travel long distance to receive care in the Cities. For 4 years now, with out team & partners ,we have reach over 25,000 people , referring many for further Clinical care. I hope we reach everyone with quality eye health care, so that no matter ones geographical location in the country, they will have access to Quality Professional eye care. I know with mobile van clinics support and power of technological solutions, we will work towards universal eye care for all Communities.”
