Founded in 1984, Combat Blindness International is dedicated alleviating preventable blindness worldwide by providing sustainable, equitable solutions for sight through partnerships and innovation. CBI supports cataract surgeries, preventable eye care and glasses for men, women, and children in developing countries. CBI also supports the building of secondary surgical centers and a scholarship program for vision technicians to ophthalmologists in developing countries to provide sustainable solutions in the eradication of preventable blindness. CBI works in India, Botswana, Paraguay, Gambia, Myanmar, Lebanon, Kenya, South Africa, Namibia, Mali, the Philippines, and the USA.
