International Workshop on Cataract Prevention and Treatment

AIER Eye Hospital, China’s largest ophthalmic institution, is hosting an international training workshop to improve cataract treatment for blindness prevention.

The course will be delivered in Changsa, Hunan Province with instruction in English. The course will run for 20 days from 17 October until 5 November 2016.

International workshops like these have been held in China since 1989. Ophthalmologists from the developing world will be trained in Phaco techniques, while researchers, administrative personnel of this field will be trained on the level of management to improve their ability of cataract prevention and treatment for the elimination of avoidable blindness worldwide.
