Dr Andreas Mueller returns to support WHO WPRO

Dr Andreas Mueller has returned to supporting the Eye Health programme at the WHO Office of the Western Pacific Region. The objective of the programme is to work with countries in accelerating the implementation of “Towards Universal Eye Health: A Regional Action Plan for the Western Pacific Region (2014-2019)”. Andreas will provide technical support on a part-time basis until January 2020, remaining as Deputy Director of the Centre for Eye Research WHO Collaborating Centre. This role is being supported by The Fred Hollows Foundation.

IAPB in the Western Pacific is looking forward to renewing our close working relationship with Andreas and continuing to work with the WHO on complimentary programmes of work and collaboration across government and non-government, private and community sectors towards ending avoidable blindness. Whilst Andreas hasn’t been out of the sector, it’s still fantastic to be able to say “Welcome Back!”
