Cities and communities that adopt inclusive design for visually impaired persons can create improved and equal access to education, employment, healthcare, recreation and independent living, and support people’s resilience to crises including changing climates. All countries must strive for policies, laws and proper infrastructure to allow independent and safe travel of blind and visually impaired persons in their homes, educational institutions, work environment, and their community.
