He University offers a 4-year Bachelor of Science in Optometry programme for international students (Medium of instruction is Chinese). This 4-year course is among many other non-eye care courses on offer at the University.
The programme prepares students for a professional career in optometry and focuses on the principles and techniques for examining, diagnosing and treating conditions of the visual system. It includes instruction in prescribing glasses and contact lenses, other optical aids, corrective therapies, visual electrophysiology, fundus fluorescein angiography, eye ultrasonic examination, patient counseling, practice management, and ethics and professional standards.
