The ICO Guidelines summarize core requirements for the appropriate care of open and closed angle glaucoma and consider low and intermediate to high-resource settings. They are currently available in English and Spanish.
“The new ICO glaucoma guidelines are very exciting as they break new ground. They not only set out best practice for those working in high resource settings in developed areas, but for the first time they also give strong guidance to ophthalmologists working in low resource settings in developing areas. We expect they will have relevance around the world” said Professor Hugh Taylor, ICO President.
