VFAN welcomes Tony Hulton as interim Chief Executive

Press Release – London, 27 April 2017: Vision for a Nation is delighted to welcome Tony Hulton as Interim Chief Executive. Tony will lead a 6-month review of the charity’s future strategy on behalf of the Board of Trustees. This will inform Vision for a Nation’s future direction and ambitious plans to scale its work to other countries around the world.

Tony HultonTony has managed a variety of private, public and not-for-profit organisations having started his career in the British Army and Foreign & Commonwealth Office. He was Head of Programmes for DFID Southern Afghanistan and has set up Programme teams and offices in Somalia, Lebanon and Sri Lanka. He has been part of the founding team of two successful SME start-ups and advised private sector clients including Lockheed Martin, Malawi Mangoes and Insinger de Beaufort.

Tony joins Vision for a Nation following the successful establishment of a nationwide and sustainable primary eye care service in Rwanda. Over 1.5 million people have so far been helped through the charity’s groundbreaking programme that is being delivered in partnership with the Government of Rwanda.
