NIH Genetics Training programme for LMIC Ophthalmologists

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA has announced the 2nd International Summit in Human Genetics and Genomics, hosted at NIH campus in Bethesda, MD, USA from Aug 30th -Sept. 30th, 2017.  Several NIH institutes/ICs, including the National Eye Institute (NEI), are participating in this NIH-wide training programme.

Applications for the month-long training programme for qualified candidates from Lower and Middle Income Countries (LMIC) are being invited. The application period is open now and will remain open (rolling application) until all twenty seats (NIH wide) are filled with qualified candidates. The National Eye Institute is encouraging candidates from low and middle income countries keen on pursuing research in genetics and genomics, including Ophthalmic Genetics.
