Anjita Hirachan

Dr Anjita Hirachan is one of the young, energetic and dynamic and promising doctors of lumbini Eye Institute, Bhairahawa. After completion of MD ophthalmogy she worked in LEI for 2 yrs and was posted to a secondary hospital in palpa as a Medical Director for a year. During this period she served many people from various surgical camps in hilly region of Nepal( Palpa/Gulmi and Arghakachi). She played vital role in reducing blindness due to cataract in those regions.

She also contributed to the RAAB Survey 2019 in Nepal with her leadership as an ophthalmologist focal person.

She is helpful, caring, resourceful and happy to offer her services. Her dedication and sincerity towards her work to reduce preventable blindness in Nepal is worth rewarding, and it is with great pleasure we nominate her as 2021 IAPB Eye Health Hero (EHH).
